Expanding on the UN Special Rapporteur on Extreme Poverty and Human Rights’ country report on Mauritania, the goal of this event is to discuss how the core challenges of exclusion, discrimination and slavery affecting the Haratine and Afro-Mauritanian populations should be addressed, and how these efforts are integral to combatting extreme poverty in Mauritania.
