Assistant Finance Officer

 

21 Hours per week

Mostly based in London, although we are all currently working at home

 

MRG is seeking a new finance assistant to support in the production of financial reports to donors (including the EU and the FCDO, formerly called DfID). The postholder will also support with the drafting and finalisation of project budgets submitted to donors and contract negotiations and with the supply of evidence and materials to auditors carrying out project audits.

Candidates will need a minimum of 12 months’ finance work experience, including bookkeeping, preparing/assisting in preparation of budgets and financial reports and including experience of using accounts software packages (e.g. SAP, SAGE, QuickBooks, Sun, etc). Also required is extensive and advanced level knowledge and experience of using Excel, a high level of numeracy, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, good communication skills – spoken and written English and the ability to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
