Inclusive Craft Bazaar at Trap Fest 2024
Plovdiv, Bulgaria: 3-6 October 2024
The “Trap” Bazaar, part of the vibrant Autumn Festival “Trap Fest,” took place from October 3-6, 2024, along the lively main street of Plovdiv. The event, which is a well-known art fair, brought together a mix of cultural forms, including music, dance, cinema, literature, theater, and applied arts.
The event featured products created by 30 beneficiaries of the project “People with Disabilities from the Municipality of Kuklen Preserve Traditions and the Bulgarian Spirit” implemented by the National Association for Social Cooperation and Partnership – NSSSP. Over the past few months, these beneficiaries, including Roma, Turks, Pomacs, Bulgarians, and people with disabilities, participated enthusiastically in weaving and knitting workshops.
Each participant contributed their creativity and effort, producing colorful, unique, and beautiful items that were exhibited at the festival. The carefully arranged tent featured a range of woolen and natural fabric materials, as well as knitted products, all crafted with care and soul.
The booth was easily recognizable, with a large roll banner displaying the logos of the European Union, MARIO, and NSSSP, while behind the stand, the artisans shared their work with visitors, who appreciated the dedication behind each handmade piece.
