Thailand Programme Manager

The purpose of this post is to help Minority Rights Group Europe (MRGE) achieve its aims and objectives by providing administrative support with finance and events, engaging with partners and mentoring subgrantee organizations.

The post holder will contribute to the smooth and efficient running of the new programme ‘Movement on disability equality in Thailand’s Southern Border Provinces (MODE-SBP)’. The European Union supports this programme, which aims to develop the movement of persons with disabilities in Thailand’s deep south.

Main responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

  • Supporting MRG and partner programme finance staff through:
    • Maintaining and preparing documentation for payments and transfers;
    • Checking documentation and receipts for finance reports by programme partners;
    • Supporting programme administration with the preparation of travel and accommodation arrangements for participants, colleagues, and partners;
    • Organizing logistics for events and meetings, including assisting with those taking place internationally.
  • Representing MRG at local events, including those implemented by partners and subgrantees.
  • Serving as a key contact point for subgrantee organizations, mentoring and overseeing their programme activities and assisting with programme reporting and M&E.
  • Researching and collating press and media clippings related to the programmes and updating and supporting maintenance of programme Monitoring and Evaluation documents,
  • Preparing agenda and minutes for meetings,
  • Research and budget preparation for new funding proposals.

So if you have at least two years of experience working in a civil society organization, focusing on partner or network liaising, financial reporting, event organization and M&E, and can speak and write fluent English and Thai, then, you might be the person we’re looking for. Experience on, or in working in the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand, particularly in the context of human rights or disability rights programmes, would be a bonus.

You must have, or be able to obtain, permission to work in Thailand. You will be located in the Southern Border Provinces of Thailand, preferably in Pattani.
