Belgium introduced a quota system for the appointment of High Council of Justice members to ensure an adequate number of elected candidates of each sex.
Conclusion:
No violation of Articles 2, 3, 25 and 26: The Human Rights Committee held that a measure to increase number of women in High Council of Justice is based on objective and reasonable grounds and is proportional.
