Submit input to UN report on development and cultural rights
The OHCHR’s Special Rapporteur in the field of cultural rights is looking for input to her upcoming report on the intersection between development and cultural rights. She wants to identify where projects and policies aiming at sustainable development may have had negative effects on cultural rights or seemed to conflict with their full realisation. The Special Rapporteur would also like to reflect more broadly on the relationship between diversity and cultural rights in the approaches to development.
The Special Rapporteur welcomes input from the following actors:
– Civil society organisations
– National human rights institutions
– Cultural workers and practitioners
– United Nations agencies
All observations should be submitted in response to the questions published on the Special Rapporteur’s website (link see below). Respondents are invited to submit input in response to those questions relevant to their work and/or their experience. Responses may be submitted in English, French, or Spanish and should not exceed 2500 words. Submissions should be sent electronically to email address with the subject line “Submission: Cultural rights and sustainable development” by 27 April 2022.
The full list of questions can be found here.
