The project aims to empower the local Roma community in Baks through the training of 10 local Roma as advocates who will be able to legitimately represent the interest of their community towards the authorities and other actors.

The media campaign and policy shaping activities will help to change the negative image of the Roma community and will also raise the awareness of the public about the challenges faced by this community, reaching around 2000-3000 people. At the end of the project duration, the initiative plans to reach at least one positive measure or program which will improve the situation of the Roma community. In the long run, it wants to create a well-informed Roma community which will be able to represent itself.
