Project details
The project with the symbolic name ‘Less than a poppy seed!’ raises awareness of how the voice of women from minority groups in Croatia is very low. The project aims to change that by strengthening women’s involvement in public spaces and decisions making environments through the educational training program for minority women that will transform them into female minority leaders. Four two-day workshops will strengthen and build their knowledge about human rights, women’s rights, minority rights, leadership skills and the possibility of association in some form of civil society, association, etc, in theory and in practice as well as teach them how to advocate for their rights. Through the educational training program, they will also learn how to prepare small initiatives and then have the opportunity to prepare and implement one small initiative that will be focused on solving one of the issues they face as minorities in their local communities. They will work in groups in initiatives, and that builds their connections. In the project, a network of female minority leaders will be established.
