This is the final evaluation of three years work supporting the Endorois Welfare Council and, with them, seeking implementation of a precedent setting legal decision of the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights on the Endorois displacement from their ancestral land without consultation or compensation.

The evaluation finds that MRG has significantly strengthened the EWC organization and staff, has worked well in partnership, and has helped build support within the community. The evaluation notes that progress in terms of concrete implementation of the decision has been both challenging and slow and discusses some of the reasons for this.
