Deadline – Monday 21 November, 9 am

Minority Rights Group International is seeking to recruit an intern to support its publications work. In particular, the post holder will assist with the preparations for next year’s annual report, State of the World’s Minorities and Indigenous Peoples, and the updating of MRG’s World Directory of Minorities and Indigenous Peoples. Though not restricted to these activities, the role will likely involve the following duties:

  • Administrative support in identifying and communicating with potential expert reviewers.
  • Research assistance, particularly in updating figures and resources on directory profiles.
  • Potential support to authors to fill gaps.
  • Additional research and administrative activities, as required.

As part of the placement, interns typically have the opportunity to develop a credited case study of their own for the SWM that will be featured online.

Ideally interns would be available to begin in December 2016 and commit 2 or more days a week over a period of 3 months. The role will be based in MRG’s London office, though flexible working arrangements for some of the time can be considered.

Though the internship is unpaid, MRG covers travel expenses (up to £8) and lunch (up to £6) daily.

Applicants should send their CV with a short introduction of 3-4 paragraphs outlining their interest and suitability in the role to peter.grant@mrgmail.org, with ‘Publications intern’ on the subject line.
