‘The EU as a Global Actor in Climate Action’, Joshua Castellino | TEPSA Explainers

14 December 2021

‘Humanity is facing a serious crisis due to human-induced climate change. It is imperative that local, regional, national, and international policy address this issue urgently. The European Union, as principled actor on the global stage, has a fundamental duty to do its part.’

In this video Joshua Castellino, our Executive Director, gives his analysis of the EU’s role in fighting human-made global climate change, and averting a climate catastrophe. In his analysis, he takes account of Europe’s historic role in creating the consumption-driven exploitative economy that has resulted in the current climate crisis. How can the modern EU come to terms with that past, while preparing itself and the world for a green future?

TEPSA Explainers are short videos elaborating on key issues in European affairs according to the expertise of the contributor.
