Artivism: Empowering Roma Rights

The project advances Roma minority rights blending art and activism to raise awareness, empower communities and engage stakeholders. Key events will be held during the International Roma Day (April 2025) and ARA Fest in Plzeň and Ostrava (Summer 2025). 

International Roma Day will feature a cultural exhibition, children’s education programs, a stakeholder roundtable and a gala at the National Theatre, livestreamed for wider reach. ARA Fest will include exhibitions, concerts and a performance of Dajori, followed by discussions on the forced sterilization of Roma women. 

The project strengthens collaboration among local authorities, cultural institutions and Roma NGOs. Through media outreach and advocacy, its impact will extend beyond 2025, promoting lasting social inclusion.
