Bridge to equality: Cooperation between society and the municipality and promotion of minority rights in Pärnu

Organisation: NGO Ukrainian Center | MTÜ Ukraina Keskus

Location: Parnu

The project aims to protect the rights of the Ukrainian minority in Estonia. It will provide legal support, advocacy and community engagement to prevent discrimination and preserve cultural identity. It will also raise awareness about EU rights, equality, freedom of movement and access to justice, to support better integration into Estonian society.

Cultural exchange activities, language courses and intercultural dialogues will promote social cohesion between Ukrainians and the wider community. Meetings with national minority representatives from Estonia and Latvia will promote shared experiences and understanding of rights and opportunities.

The initiative will work with local authorities and EU institutions to monitor rights violations, advocate for stronger protections and ensure the inclusion of minorities in decision-making processes.

Grant Amount: €15,000
