Equal access to justice and social services for Roma from Făurei: Support, education and community empowerment
Organisation: DANROM Făurei Association | Asociația DANROM Făurei
Location: Faurei Vilage
The project aims to improve access to justice and social services for the Roma community in Făurei. Facing discrimination, economic barriers and a lack of information, the community in this region struggles to access their fundamental rights and essential services.
The project will provide legal and social counselling to 100 Roma people. Individual sessions and two specialized workshops led by legal and social welfare experts will be carried out. These sessions aim to empower participants with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate the legal system and access available social services.
A key initiative is the establishment of a working group of volunteer lawyers and legal advisors to offer ongoing support and ensure long-term impact. Additionally, a legal and social resource guide will be distributed and a conference will be organized to engage authorities and promote policy reforms at local and national levels.
