To encourage communication between adolescents and young people and strengthen their local, national and European identity by organising a camp for adolescents and young people, ‘Sūpluok/ Nearby, Together’, which will explore the traditions of ethnically diverse households, create family stories, showing visible differences and agreeing on similarities in tangible and intangible cultural values, and create a travelling exhibition. The ability of adolescents and young people to converse, do small research and creative tasks together, and be proud of their ancestors, will set an example for a more inclusive and tolerant society. Importantly, the exhibition will travel to schools where other young people can learn tolerance from their peers and build their self-confidence by developing their own ethnic identity and choosing to belong to a community.
