Health Rights for Roma Minority

Organisation: Asociation Roma Cultural Center “O Del Amenca” |  Asociatia Centrul Cultural al Romilor O Del Amenca

Location: Fetesti village, Ialomita County, and Micesti

The project aims to combat discrimination and promote minority rights in accessing health services by empowering two Roma communities with knowledge and advocacy tools. Although Romania has legal protections for minorities, Roma people face systemic violations, especially in healthcare.

The activities include thematic workshops on health rights, training for human rights defenders, civic advocacy initiatives, an anti-discrimination campaign and monitoring public health services. The project will promote legal and health rights awareness, train local leaders, establish two active advocacy groups and launch campaigns to improve healthcare access and combat discrimination.

Grant Amount: €15,000
