The sustainability of Roma community promotion in Estonia

The project aims to empower the Roma community by addressing rights awareness, social inclusion and cultural preservation. It will provide education on their rights related to employment, healthcare, education and housing, the project offers tools to support the development of their cultural identity. 

Through a series of workshops, problem mapping activities, and world café discussions, the project will help Roma participants preserve their traditions and advocate for themselves. The initiative includes seminars and a conference to offer platforms for education, collaboration and problem solving. The seminars focus on practical knowledge, while the conference fosters dialogue and raises awareness about the Roma community’s unique challenges and contributions. 

The project approach emphasizes the experiences and perspectives of the Roma, encourages self-advocacy, community engagement and sustainable solutions to address issues like discrimination and social exclusion. The project also seeks to raise governmental awareness and promote meaningful changes that improve the living conditions and social dignity of the Roma community.
