We vote for a better life of our children
Organisation: Romani hub
Location: Brno, Dobromilice and Mojzis
This project addresses social inequalities and promotes equal rights and opportunities for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age or disability. In the Czech Republic, the Roma minority faces significant barriers to political participation, with many living in socially excluded areas where poverty and discrimination create distrust in the system, leading to low voter turnout.
Using education and accessible communication, the project aims to rebuild trust, raise awareness about the importance of voting and equip Roma citizens with the knowledge to navigate political programs and elections. Led by Roma professionals with lived experience, the campaign will engage communities in their language, making political information more relevant and accessible.
The project aims to empower Roma communities, increase voter participation and strengthen democratic representation.
Grant Amount: €15,000
