Empowering Voices: Youth Advocacy for Environmental and Community Development

Organisation: Young improvers for youth development | Сдружение „ Млади изследователи за младежко развитие“

Location: Smolyan

This project empowers marginalized Roma and Pomak youth in Smolyan through education, advocacy and community engagement. Based at the YIYD Greenhouse and Fitness Center, it provides training on rights, environmental initiatives and local governance, integrating sports, youth spaces and mobile outreach for broader impact.

Key partnerships with local organizations, government institutions, and advocacy groups strengthen the project’s impact and outreach. A special focus on minority women, supported by community organizations, ensures inclusivity. With mobile outreach extending services to remote areas, the initiative fosters a supportive environment where youth develop skills, advocate for their rights, and drive lasting community change.
