Organization: Association non-profit “Zakrilnitsi”| Сдружение “ЗАКРИЛНИЦИ” 

Location: Montana, Bulgaria

The project focuses on empowering the Roma community through active participation in decision-making processes and promoting local leadership. It will equip Roma leaders with skills in advocacy, human rights and civic education, helping them to address issues as discrimination, social exclusion and gender inequality. 

Workshops will target 20 Roma people identified as potential community leaders, with sessions emphasizing EU values and mechanisms for protecting fundamental rights. Public discussions with municipal representatives, NGOs and community members will address integration challenges, while dialogues in schools will engage 200 students in promoting inclusivity and awareness.
